 Biographies
The Champaign County Municipal Court is presided over by the Honorable Susan J.
Fornof-Lippencott. Judge Fornof-Lippencott is a 1970 graduate of Mechanicsburg High
School and from there went on to graduate from Wittenberg University in 1985. In 1988,
Judge Fornof-Lippencott graduated from Capital Law School and went on to pass the Ohio
Bar Exam the first time and was licensed to practice law in 1989. Judge Fornof-Lippencott
is also licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the South District of Ohio, the U.S
Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Judge Fornof-Lippencott is the Chaplain for
the local DAR. Judge Fornof-Lippencott is a member of the Champaign County Bar
Association and the Women’s Tourist Club.
Judge Fornof-Lippencott occasionally speaks to students in the Graham School,
Mechanicsburg District and West-Liberty Salem District DARE graduations, as well as other
local area schools. The Judge participates in the West-Liberty Salem High School Mock
Trials.
The Champaign County Municipal Court has county-wide jurisdiction.
The Municipal Court facility is located at 205 South Main Street, Urbana, Ohio 43078.
The Champaign County Municipal Court Probation Department is funded completely through a state grant, probation fees,
and ankle bracelet fees. No local funds are used.
Judge Fornof-Lippencott is married to
Chuck E. Lippencott. Both grew up on farms in the area, and are local farmers in the county.
